Hey, Frog’s Glen-ers! All 300 of you now. Have I mentioned how grateful I am to have you even taking a short peek at what I’m writing?
This grateful. [Stretches arms out super duper wide.]
Big news. I’ve been working hard recently on a serial thriller called “Bonsai on the Ledge.” It’s set in 1992 Tokyo and it features a young hero, the intriguing (and sometimes nefarious) people around him, a trading house, government spooks, and even a love interest. I won’t go into more detail now—let’s let the story speak for itself soon.
I’ve created a new section of my Substack homepage to house the Bonsai work so the pieces will all line up there if you are on my site looking for them. My regular Frog’s Glen individual essays will continue to show in the main section.
I’ve set things up for now so that all subscribers will receive both types of entries.
Until then, give me a bit more time, will ya?
Because I’m busy dotting i’s and all that on the Bonsai thriller, I’d like to add here one of my most popular pieces that seemed to get people talking earlier in the year. (Substack tells me it made a bit of a splash.) For newer readers, maybe this will be something you haven’t yet seen. Let’s hope so.
You’re one of the few writers where the news that you’re working on some genre fiction actually makes me excited. I’m way behind on reading your work but that’s only because I’m so far behind on my work. I hold you in very high esteem indeed.
I will definitely look forward to hearing more about your book.
